Nikki has been working as a lawyer since March 2009. She primarily acts as a legal counsel and litigator in the area of contract law and tenancy law. Given her previous experience as a trustee in bankruptcy she can also advise parties who are directly or indirectly confronted with matters relating bankruptcy.
Nikki Damen achieved a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2004 at University College Utrecht, majoring in international law, human rights and international politics. Nikki then continued her studies of Dutch civil law at the University of Amsterdam. Before founding Damen & De Koning in 2017, she worked in the corporate law department at Höcker Advocaten and as a criminal defence lawyer at Knoops’ Advocaten. Since March 2017 she has been associated with the latter firm within the scope of collaboration.

Nikki has registered general law of obligations in the Netherlands Bar’s register of legal practice areas (rechtsgebiedenregister). Based on this registration, she is required to obtain ten training credits per calendar year in each registered principal legal practice area in accordance with the standards set by the Netherlands Bar.
In 2020, Nikki completed (cum laude) the Grotius postgraduate in-depth continued education on national and international contracting.
